Ranamplexus

Hi everybody,

Found this tonight in a pond where I've never seen any Common frog, only Agile.
So, even if I'm convinced that the blue one is a Common frog, I would like to know your mind. By the way, I've rarely seen such a blue color on a Common frog (and never on an Agile frog). The one under must be an Agile, I've checked the white belly.

Nice froggies, but both dalmatina to me... That tympanum seems just too big.

I first thought that there were 2 Agile but changed my mind while looking at my pictures.
The tympanum is indeed too big, I can't see the iris outline and the dorsal lines are too straight.

But that color and the "not so obvious" tapered snout made me doubt.

So thanks for that feedback.

Both are definitely Rana dalmatina.
