Podarcis ??

Postby Peter Engelen » Wed Aug 04, 2010 7:18 pm

There's a discussion on an other forum about the right name of this lizard. They found it in the Netherlands but not on a place that's known for Podarcis muralis. I think it's an introduced muralis. But It doesn't have a black row of spots on his back. So maybe hispanicus. erhardi??

Greetings,

Peter

I agree with Mario - but for me, it's not obvious:
- missing vertebrale line: rather erhardii but sometimes also muralis
- distinct dark area above shoulders: rather muralis
- light dorsolateral stripe ends behind parietal plates: rather muralis

To make this quiz more interesting, I vote for muralis ;)
