Malaysia part 1 (Tropidolaemus wagleri)

What do you do when you see your target species, after 2 days and nights searching in the jungle without any luck? One little problem, she is hanging between 8 and 10 meter high in a tree. Solution 1 was just climb in the tree but after 5 meters the gap between two branches was to big and I didn't like solution 1b: My friend wanted also to climb up the tree to push me up a little bit higher.

Solution 2: You search some people with tree-experience.

Solution 3:You can stop herping too watch some football.

Solution 4: Or you go back to the village and borrow a ladder.

Nice finds there, Waglers are such stunning snakes.

There was another option: Funicular Railway to the top of Penang Hill - Find the hotel with views over Georgetown - Order a couple of Tiger Beers whilst sitting on the verandah - Lean back in your chairs and look up into the creeper overhead - usually Waglers.

Looking forward to the next instalment.

And when you are visiting the local Golf and Country club you have to wear suitable clothes.
