French Guyana - January 2014

For your reports/images, made outside Europe and the "Mediterranean" countries. Not to be too narrow minded and limited to our European/Mediterranean herps.

M., I already commented on your Flickr-page - obviously, I love this stuff. Ceratophrys, Eunectes, Anilius, and (even) more species than we found in Peru... Add the quality of your photography to that = simply incredible.

Thanks everybody ;-).

For your information the last part is now in line :

Again lot of fantastic observations during this last week.
For example :

Image
Oxybelis fulgidus

Image
Gonatodes annuralis

Image
Boa contrictor

Image
Micrurus hemprichii

Image
Hyalinobatrachium cappellei

Image
Siphlophis cervinus

And the last day, the last hour, during an Anaconda session shot, a good surprise!

Look after the roots in the top right of the picture. The otter came here to see what happens!!

It was really a fantastic post, thank you. Siphlophis cervinus is a very interesting find, and the anaconda shots are perfect. The bagnes shots are also very impressive

This must be one of the best posts ever! Anaconda, C. caninus, Pipa with eggs, Ceratophrys in amplexus and the quality of your pictures... Simply WOW!

Indeed no! You even photographed a Frank le Jungle! In situ!

But seriously, all the species you've found, some of which photographed while displaying interesting behaviour (Pipa with eggs, Ceratophrys amplex, mating C. carbonaria) and the quality of your photography makes it both interesting and entertaining.

The Anaconda wide-angle shot is also very nice :)
