They may have partially cleaned up their act (in contrast to similar companies), but you might want to read a little bit about the past activities of that company in the Amazon rainforest. Promoting that kind of companies is in my mind incompatible with enjoying wildlife or nature. Then there's of course all the general issues that come with multinational companies. But, hey, even Bobby is allowed one flaw ;) and I've been enough of an off-topic rebel for one day.

I think you misunderstood, Ronald: Bobby really considers McDo to be a place for a great dinner.  ;)

That explains the bad smell here in Zaandam this week.. ;) McDöner must be good.. ;)

And Bobby photographing birds? I won't tell anyone ;)

did I mention I love Turkey? And Lyciasalamandra? Already on the plane back I knew we would have to go there again...

To keep up with Bobby´s pace I also quickly uploaded my pictures on my picasa. The complete selection can be found here:

P.S.: Does anybody have good coordinates for McDonalds in Lycia? If yes, please PM them to me... I don´t know if it was too dry, too hot, or whatever, but we seriously had a hard time finding them. Thank you.

Compliments for the wide angle Chameleon shot at the beach :)
Also compliments for the good lightning on the amphibians. The shiny skins can be horrible to photograph. :)

Another great trip from you two, I think you stole my sunshine I was in Cyprus the same week and the weather was mixed with torrential rain and thunderstorms on the 25th.

+1!
Hehe, nice to see how green those places can be, and that it's also possible to find some of the larger species in winter!

Thanks a lot for the loving comments lads!

@Peter, I think this specimen was around a meter long. A smaller animal escaped into a rock pile...

@Gerold, it was exceptionally green this time. Winter has been mild and that resulted in some great finds and indeed also some "larger" reptiles, if only we would have had more time we probably would have unearthed more interesting species!

And thanks for the coördinates Mario!

Awesome pictures! Brought back some nice memories from last year. Great report as well. It is really sad to read that they drained the lake near Dalyan. That really su**s!!!!! It was such a beautiful place for amphibians.

Outstanding chameleon photos!
Can I find them in Pamphylia in December and January too?
