LA TX NM AZ CA NV - roadtrip 2014

For your reports/images, made outside Europe and the "Mediterranean" countries. Not to be too narrow minded and limited to our European/Mediterranean herps.

Nice stuff! Looks like it was mostly too cold outside of east Texas... Good to see some familiar places. Big Bens is my favorite spot in Texas.

Also, it's safe to remove the parentheses around getula. :D

That's right, although I was also not herping my $$$ off, like I would like to. But, hey, at least I got the see the "Bushmaster of the North" and my western crotalid nemesis ;)

Let's not start the whole debate about species concepts, molecular markers etc., ... again, especially on (for this forum) out-of-scope taxa ;)

BTW, the use of parentheses in this way is actually wrong. While I use this to indicate doubt, the ICNZ apparently reserves the use of parentheses for subgenera only (=> Genus (Subgenus) species).

I see what you're saying, let's avoid this discussion. One thing though, is that Burbrink has had several terrible splits. I invite you to google Kingsnake intergrades...
