Anatololacerta oertzeni budaki and Anatololacerta oertzeni pelasgiana have been raised to species level: Anatololacerta budaki and A. pelasgiana.

Who knows? - maybe you remember the mess with Ablepharus on that Island ;)

But seriously: If there is a stable population on Megisti at all, it is highly likely an introduced population. There are ferries from Rhodos and from Kas/Turkey. If the lizards are from Rhodos, they are pelasgiana. If they are from Turkey, they should be budaki. This would be a new species on the Greek herp list.
