Help with green lizard in the Philippines

Postby miguel santos » Thu Feb 05, 2015 11:42 am

Hi guys,

As I was looking to some pictures I took in 1995, I found this little green lizard without a name.
Is anyone able to point me is the right direction to identify him? It was some 20-25 cm with tail and I found him ( I think ) on the Island of Caminguin ( to the North of Mindanau ).
Thanks ,

Miguel

I don't really know anything about Philippine skinks but my guess would be Lamprolepis smaragdina.

Thanks guys,
After some research I came to the conclusion that I took the pictures in Luzon.
That's in the range of the species, I don't think this species exists close to Mindanau.
It is great to have internet, back in 1995 it was difficult to find out what it was.
