First of all I have to say thanks to the creators of this site! I think it's gonna be a great forum!
I decided to start with some of the species inhabiting the area around my hometown - Pravetz. It's situated in the western Stara Planina Mts.( a.k.a. Balkan Mts.) on an alttitude of 440 - 500 m asl.
I'm living in Sofia now,but I often visit Pravetz to see my parents and the herps,of course

The photos I'm posting are not from a single trip but are result from my observations on a particular area around a small pond near the forest surrounding the town.
