Very nice species Ronald. I am specially surprised about the diversity of snakes. It´s not easy to find them, specially Daboia mauritanica are very shy. Did you find it in the habitat? in water tanks? road crossing during the night?

I guess that with this high activity you also found dozens of dead snakes on the roads

Cheers

Thanks Francesco ! :)

The Daboia was found in habitat at Tan Tan Plague (or just on the inside) - it was on the move when I saw it.

I was on Tan Tan Plage and saw no Daboia :(
Having said that, I saw no Snake south of the Atlas in July!
These are great finds Thor, well done. I am sure you enjoied the landscape and the tajines.
Did you sleep in a tent/ car to be "in situ" right on time? I missed sometimes the best time of the day on my way to the field.
