I spent last week on a resort near Kusadasi, on the Aegean coast of Turkey. It was a familiy trip and I spent a lot of time eating and sliding down waterslides, but I still managed to find a decent amount of species, as the amount of herps at walking distance from the resort was surprisingly high.
Observations include:
Ablepharus kitaibelii
Anatololacerta anatolica
Blanus strauchi
Eirenis modestus
Eryx jaculus
Hemidactylus turcicus
Lacerta trilineata
Mauremys rivulata
Natrix natrix
Natrix tesselata
Ophisops elegans
Platyceps najadum
Pseudopus apodus
Stellagama stellio
Telescopus fallax
Testudo graeca
Trachylepis aurata
Typhlops vermicularis
Bufo viridis
Lissotriton vulgaris
Pelophylax bedriagae (?)
I'll try to upload some pictures soon.
