Some shoots from northern Sardinia,July 2017

Postby Massimo Trentin » Mon Jul 31, 2017 8:13 pm

Just back from summer holidays spent in Northern Sardinia.
I was with my family (wife & two daughters) so...almost no time for herping ,just some pics of the very common P.tiliguerta.
Be patient...I'm not a good photographer  .

Seems like P.siculus is more present around houses, garden and "urban enviroments" (sorry..no pics) but less present than tiliguerta, that is far more abundant but in wilder enviroment.
At least,that's what I noticed.. ;)

Thanks Ruggero...no viridiflavus sadly :|
I only saw a Testudo (don't know if graeca or hermanni) crossing a trafficated coastal road. Time to stop my car as soon as possible to rescue it and a lady on a car coming from the other side just did what I was going to do...took her and ,after givin' her a clean with her t-shirt (you know, the tortoise couldn't stay dirt :D ),released her beyond a stone wall :D .
That's all I saw but tlilguerta.

Ah... Gotta love Sardinia... In that area, chances for hermanni or marginata are way higher than for graeca, as far as I know.
