Just returned from an August trip to Ontario - here's a couple of snakes:

It was such an awesome little snake - It was already hooding up when I reached it and continued to do so even when it made its escape - I'll post the video when I get a chance!

I know, no turtles... We canoed through some delightful spots with calm water, partially submerged logs and rocky edges but found nothing - and didn't hear any plops of them escaping either! (although my mind would have been on Nerodia at the time, I'm sure that's not an acceptable excuse!). Next time!
