Acanthodactylus species

Postby miguel santos » Wed Feb 07, 2018 7:46 pm

Hi everyone,
I got this picture from a friend who went to Morocco.
He does not remember exactly where he took the picture but it should be between Ouazazarte and Merzouga.
I don't really know where to search for it,
Is it a Acanthodactylus dumerilii?, Acanthodactylus longipes?

Thanks for the help,
Miguel

Hi,

it is A. boskianus.
You easily can see the dorsal scales, getting bigger from neck to tail base.
and doesn't matter where the picture has been taken (in Morocco). this is the only species with this feature ;)
