Yesterday I went to check presence of Natterjack toad but I did not manage to take photos of this species. However I heard spadefood toad,
Bombina bombina and green toads mating calls.

Yesterday I found with fellow PhD student several gravid
Anguis fragilis females. Some of them had scars and regrowing tails. Here is a head of one of these females- you can see scars which are result of mating.
prefrontal shields are in broad contact so it is most likely

I made city do something about it and they put metal baskets into drainage manholes but we found only one amphibian in a basket - dead freshly metamorphosed spadefoot toad and the rest of amphibians were under baskets or in drainage manholes without baskets.
as you see baskets dont fit well
