It was sunny so I found Hatay lizards without problems.

After leaving city I noticed a shallow body of water with Pelophylax bedriagae

I reached the spot which was supposed to host tortoises, Typhlops vermicularis and Platyceps najadum but none of these species was found. I did find many Mauremys rivulata rivulata though.

After sunset I came back to my hotel's garden where I had heard vocalization of Bufotes variabilis the day before and found that male and took photo of him.

On the 3rd of January we drove to see so called "Green Canyon". I tried to find salamanders, to no avail.

On the 4th of January we drove north of Alanya where I found juvenile Lacerta pamphylica just next to road under a stone.

I searched for salamanders near Dim Cave and in its surrounding, again, to no avail
But I found big Bufo verrucosissimus near parking to Dim Cave.

on the 5th of January I once again attempted to find salamanders north of Alanya and again without success. It was sunny so I found Anatololacerta pelasgiana ibrahimi and Stellagama stellio daani .

In afternoon I visited nearby river once again, this time earlier and with sunnier weather but I found no Nile softshell turtles. There were only agamas on walls which constituted banks of the river.

Yes I know this paper but someone from lacerta.de wrote that the taxonomic changes that this paper makes are unjustified. And they indeed don't acknowledge these changes in lacerta.de.

Sure, the budaki-danfordi gap needs closing etc., but the data seems solid enough to me.

Thank you for reply Jeroen.
Do you have Supplementary Table S1 which is supposed to be added to the publication?
