Great trip pics, the Daboia was stunning.. even my girlfriend was interested when I showed her the fox :D the one in the hole, not the one with the Daboia, before you ask :D

These collaris seem to violate the main distinctive feature between them and najadum...

The first photo (Budi, Jurgen, Gabri) was taken by my camera. Maybe by a Laudakia because is the worst photo I´ve never seen!

I love the habitat photos. It´s incredible the Gilboa habitat, similar to Spain fields but with Echis, Daboia, Atractaspis... and a Platyceps collaris under each rock ;)

Yesterday evening I did my first herping expedition post Israel. Vipera latastei (with salmon pink ventral side  ), Malpolon monspessulanus, Rhinechis scalaris and many lizards (Timon, Psammodromus, Podarcis...). It´s not the same but help me to return to the real world... (I guess Jurgen did the same with berus...)

Thank you Thomas!
Sometimes I couldn’t believe what luck we had. During the day it was work but at night… Guy told us the best time for scanning roads at night is between sunset and 11.00 p.m., after 11.00 there are no more activities on the Road, the best conditions no wind and temperature between 18 and 22 Degrees.

In our first night we found just one snake on the road, Echis coloratus, one of our wish list. Temperature 15 Degrees and a strong wind.

We found the two Telescopus hogstralii ten and twenty minutes after midnight, Temperature 16 Degrees also strong wind.

And during our last night on the road, when Gabri`s dream came true (I think the nights before were more a nightmare than a Dream) Temperature was 13 Degrees with a cold wind.
