What will you do next to open your European horizon? Morocco? Israel?
I know some guides for these area`s! ;)

Not really clear, but looks like we will be postponing Morocco to somewhere after 2012.

another good guide to near and middle east Amphibians and reptiles is:

Leviton, A.E., S.C. Anderson, K. Adler & S.A. Minton (1992): Handbook to Middle East Amphibians and Reptiles. SSAR; ISBN 0-916984-23-0.

Book covers Iraq and adjacent areas.
It uses, sure, because quite "old" the old scientific names, but has very good species keys and ID pictures.
