After I cold down a little bit from the Israel Trip, I made a speed Trip today to the Bernese Alps to look for Vipera aspis.
After a four hours’ drive I arrived at the Valley at 8.30 h and there was no sun, big clouds were hanging on the mountains.
I saw a lot of Ice and snow on the bottom of the Valley and some trees looks like it is more fall than early summer.
I drove deeper in the Valley and hiked around and was waiting for the sun.
The altitude was about 1600 m and the temperature not more than 10 Degrees.
After I saw a few Zootoca vivipara (still no sun), I found a young Vipera berus male.
During the shooting the sun came out and I left the area to look for aspis.
On the way back to the car I found a young berus female, but she disappeared between the Stones.

Other side of the Valley
I drove down to a lower altitude (1300m), parked the car and a few minutes later I saw the first Asp.
View from the other side
A few meters away the next one, but this one was in “deep blue”.
After a 10 Minutes search, the next one,
after shedding she will be the nicest girl in the Valley, for sure!
Three is enough I thought, but on the way back to the car I found one more.
After that one I drove back home.
