Michal: an introduced population would be possible, of course. Maybe also an autochtone population in the southern Krakau area: there are populations not only in Slovakia, but also in Ceska / Stramberg. But it would be surprising if such an abundant species would have been overlooked...for me not very likely.

You know, here herpetology is not well developed as in western countries. However really big achievement of polish herpetology is discovery of hybridogenesis among common european green frogs by prof. Leszek Berger.
