Hi Stephane,

It´s incredible that this snake was out in the middle of the Winter. I would wish to find vipers now but until march it seems impossible!

Yes, perhaps it's due to an not healthy state, this female shows some signs of emaciation. In general rule, females come out of hibernation later than males...

Yes, it seems very very thin. I wish that this individual gets to survive the winter...

It's seems that during this week, both V. aspis and berus come out everywhere in Europe :D

This afternoon, two V. aspis together : the same as last week and a new one, an adul male (that I saw for the last time in 2013 on November 8th)
