Don't worry, Jürgen, there are still a lot of people on this forum who never went on a trip with you so far.

After the successful weekend in Canton Vaud I was hotter on Aspis than ever before.
I take a Day off from Work and decided to go to the Canton Ticino today.

I arrived very euphoric, but much too early! I don`t want to sit around and wait till the Aspis came out, So I went up the valley to the Berus place.
But it was a very strong hike, the trail was full covered with snow

And at the berus place it was much more snow, I guess 1,5 m +!!

I went back to the Asp-places but only a few Lizards were out.

I found no Coronella and this place is the best for them, every time when I was there I found at least one.
Later I talked to people and they told me that five weeks ago the complete place was full covered with snow, 1 m.
I think that was the reason that I don`t found much Herps.

After walking around three hours I run into this situation

I was taking a lot of Pictures (Around 120)

After 45 minutes my legs hurt, my back hurt and I don`t have any feelings in my arms and hands.
I left the place after one hour I came back but the place was empty.
I don`t know if there was a touchdown, but it was nice to watching them playing around.

Great observation Jürgen. You were really lucky to spot them on such a clear area. Last year I was a bit frustrated to see a mating action below bushes and grass :)
