That reminds of that one time I lured pretty girls with free mojitos, but they stayed around for far less than a month

actually I spent my juvenile stage jumping around ponds looking for snakes and amphibians...with friends!...a lot of them (2 or 3)

In my garden two small ponds are present, thus common toads reproduces here each year.

Last year in slope sand lizards were found. Unfortunately this year no one has been observed. Maybe I accidentally overwhelmed their burrows or winter was too frosty.

Moor frogs are sometimes observed, frequently in pond.

Once grass snake and green frog- likely from neighbour's pond above -visited my garden.


Common frogs are relatively abundant here, they even have special spot for hunting.

Green toads are reproducing in my neighbourhood, therefore this species of often found in front of my house and in garden.


Summarizing I can admire seven herp species in my own garden. It is great to feel such herp vicinity.

In my garden sand lizards are present on a pile of boards, wheras they are not present on the slope- previous presence spot- because of shadow. One female and two smaller lizards were observed, sometimes even at one moment. Yesterday morning (about 9 a.m.) the longest one was sunbathing at temperature about 17*C. Today afternoon- 18*C, cloudy and little rain- I found probably same lizard sunbathing. I managed also to observe lizard hunting. There are around a lot of common toads that morphed this year.
