Hi,
i want to share some pictures of Vipera berus berus from Rax, one of the foothills of the Alps in lower austria.
What I like the most at this place is the color diversity of the vipers.
But have a look at some of the specimens we found at the last two trips ;)

Lovely!
Definitely more diverse than Benelux berus.

Markus,

Great images, particually the black adders...loved the very pale individual..almost ursinii like.. cheered my day up no end..

I would say that the variation is the same as berus from my local patch...but the scenery is much better :D

Nice adders! I love the photo with the berus camouflaged with the grass and the tree

Awesome photos with very beautiful adders. I especially like those pictures, that have a little bit of blue sky in them. :)
