Hi everybody,

Following my five previous posts of the year, here are some of my (last ?) pics of Vipera aspis aspis I took during the second half of October.

18.10.2013 : Still 8 individuals in 2 spots, 6 individuals represented here

25.10.13 : 5 individuals in one place but only 2 photographed

28.10.13 : during this hot day (about 20°C) I found 6 vipers but I was able to take pics of only 2, all the others were elusive...

30.10.13 : only 2 animals...

Same individual as 2nd of 28th, perhaps my last Vipera aspis of 2013...

31.10.13 : no vipers despite I explored a very good spot with not so bad conditions : very sunny, only 10°C (but more than 20°C on the ground)...

The conditions become bad now with a net cooling and no sun for the 5-6 days to come.

But I can still expect a late viper if the sun comes back in November ( last year I saw my last one on 24th...), who knows ? ;)

I love These "in Situ" shots!!

Good luck for one or two more Vipers in November!

24th of November or October?

Cool pics, Stéphane! Here it's cold as well, with 0°C reached yesterday morning :?

Here are the pics of 2 (of the 3) Asp Vipers I found today during a 60 minutes herping session around midday : cloudy (and only very few sunrays) and very windy, 16°C

Yesterday, near miday, 5°C, I found the adult female Asp Viper I saw the 8th november.
