Friday the 13th or Winter-herping

Today I made another walk through Tübingen, SW Germany, to take a look at the local introduced Podarcis muralis population, with success :D

Sunny and temperature about 6 degrees..

That`s why I love muralis so much, they are there when you need them most!

better a Trip to a muralis spot at Friday the 13th than a weekend Trip to the camping ground at Crystal Lake! (I`m sure Jason is still there) ;)

Reptiles in December would be nice - but that's impossible in Denmark.

... or wait, is it?

This was found basking in the fog today in an area near the coast hit by flooding a week ago. I guess it was flushed out of its hibernaculum, presume it won't survive the winter :(

Those cheeky muralis...!

Rain and milder temps are said to be coming this Thursday (6mm) or (if you can rely on such far ahead forecasts) on Christmas (9mm), so I'm also hoping to squeeze in some final 2013 winter herping... ;)

Nearly 10°C and "full" sunshine...but no chance to get a free day

Two days ago I tried my luck by temperatures about 15°C at my local adder Habitat, but without success
