I made a short Trip to Switzerland (Sunday, Monday) to the Canton Vaud for some Asp-Fun.
I had the big luck that some Herping friends guided me.

But not only Asp were on my wish-list, I also want to see the very endangered Natrix Maura from Lac Leman.
We had the luck that we found 4 Baby Snakes by flipping stones in one Minute.
3 Natrix tessellate and one N. Maura.

After getting the first Target we were visiting three different areas and we found in every area asp-vipers.

All in all we found 18 Aspis and I thought “WOW this is unbeatable it cannot be better”

The next Day I meet up with another friend.

In the first area we visited, we found some Lacerta bilineata

And one Hierophis viridiflavus

A nice and very successful trip. I especially like the first bilineata picture. Yes, please keep these "secret" spots secret. Unfortunately some of them are already too known...

I think I can recognize some spots :) I'm not too much surprised you found so many vipers there! The "palette" of colours is always impressive. Jürgen, I was wondering when you will share more vipers pictures for this new year. Well, this is now done. Some french vipers will be posted soon...

Great variety and colors in the asps ;)
I like the "search-pictures" very much - show how camouflage these colors and pattern may be.

Peter are you sure???
I`m surprised!!
Normally people do a Trip with me once and never again!
Beside my Spanish Friend Gabri Martinez, he tried it two times.
I`m not sure if he want to do it again!

Tell me your plans!
