Post on Dutch forum with not too great pics, but still cool to see =>

Somebody on that forum argues that this prey item is probably so large that the Coronella is likely to regurgitate it before winter, because she won't have time to digest. What do you think? Any precedent?

Wicked cool pics!

I think its plenty of time to digest, night temps are still pretty high even up here in Sweden (around 13-15 C).
I guess the temps in Holland now is similar to a hot Swedish summer (20 C and rain)..... ;)

Cool to see, the digesting wont be a problem, the dutch people voted for extending the summer, and now the good weather will come and stay untill december.....

Have Smooth Snakes ever been observed eating adders in the UK?

Not sure about observations of actual eating, but adders have certainly been found in the stomach contents of smooth snakes.
